Opportunity or Obligation?
As a Christ – follower, I am called to love my enemies.
This means that whenever somebody comes up to me and curses me, yells at me, and spits on me (both figuratively and literally), I am supposed to love them.
I have been struggling with this because it is so difficult for me sometimes. But God revealed something awesome to me today…
The more somebody “hates” you, the bigger opportunity you have to work on loving EVERYBODY. The more difficult it is, the easier it is going to be next time…and the closer you get to being able to understand how to love everyone.
So, next time you are having a hard time, look at it as an opportunity NOT an obligation – it is happening for a reason.
What are you going to look at as an opportunity instead of an obligation this week?
self-control. thanks ronnie.
I am dealing with a real hard thing right now especially because I have such a huge heart for people………because of the economic times I am goon to have to let some people go and I am strugglng with the obligation of it rather than the opportunity to grow through it and with the people that I am going to keep around me because they are working for the same goal as me. I am praying really hard for God to give me the strength and courage to make the right decisions and have conviction in those I let go. Pray for me:)

@jlo – you got it man. that’s a really tough situation, i’ll be praying hard on that one starting right now. Trust that God will provide you the words, vibes, peace, and love needed to be effective in what you are trying to portray even through this difficult time and it will happen – you’re awesome.
Hallelujah
