What is your dream job?
What is God’s plan for your life (if you believe He has one for you)?
What is your spiritual gift (if you believe in those also)?
These are the three questions that I am now contemplating on every open minute.
I do believe that God has a perfect plan for my life, and I do believe in spiritual gifts.
Today’s drive was so beautifully enabling in terms of allowing my thoughts to be free without having to think of what next.
Tomorrow’s drive and these next couple of weeks are going to be equally beneficial, which is why I am writing this post now.
My brother sent me an e-mail from his soon to be wife explaining how to discern the will of God.
One of the steps was asking mature Christians for their advice, knowledge, guidance, and wisdom.
I don’t have time to explain my entire life right now, so I know that there specific guidance cannot truly be offered, but I want to know…
How do you answer the three questions posed at the beginning?
Are there any steps you took/are taking to get those answers?
What are your answers to those questions?
Dream job: chief zoo keeper at the san diego zoo.
God’s plan: to be glorified (still listening for details).
Spiritual gift: counseling.
Good advice I received regarding spiritual gifts:
1) Pray, ask God to tell you. (He knows…He gave it to you).
2) Go and Love people. Then watch for how those attempts at loving are manifested in your life.
Also, Think about whether there’s anything you developed a particular affinity for around the time you began to follow hard after Christ. And consider whether there are areas in your life where you see supernatural results. Lastly, I think it’s good to ask mature Christians whether they sense any particular gifting from God at work through your life.
When you know, use that gift for God’s glory every opportunity you get. And always use your gift out of a spirit of Love. Pursue love.
Gods Plan for my life:
To love the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, and mind, and to love our nieghbors as ourselves, on these two commands hang all the law. This will keep you busy for the next 70 years. Love,Dad
