I heard Ginny Owens on radio the other day praying for and thanking God for eyes to truly see.
She quoted these verses:
James 1:2-4 (NLT)
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
Can you imagine not needing anything-talk about a level of contentment that I can’t even comprehend.
This verse is exploding with so many truths right now, I can’t even fully grasp half of them.
Without troubles, my endurance can’t be stretched, and therefore it cannot grow.
So don’t just put up with your next trouble, but “consider it an opportunity for great joy.”
Wow.
By the way…Ginny Owens is blind.
What are you hearing and/or seeing?
Mark 8:18 Having eyes, and yet not seeing. I wonder if it is easier to see/feel God without eyes, when you MUST rely on your spirit? Why do we close our eyes when we pray? The eyes of the heart, what about those eyes. God is so holy that even the creatures in heaven with 1000 eyes had to cover themselves with their wings because they couldnt handle the brilliance of God. Thank you Jesus for being so AWESOME! Omnipotent, Incomprehendible!
