this time, to one of my top three favorite city’s in the world…austin, tx.
two nights ago, ashley & I had the opportunity to stay the night with my brother & his wife (who’s spiritual gift is hospitality – and that’s a wonderful thing when you’re guest).
we picked up ash’s parents yesterday after meeting with one of my most respected friends, mac.
the conversation that ash & were able to have with mac & his wife julie was priceless to me…the situation we are in is very similar to a situation they were in 20 years ago, un-coincidentally.
two nights before we hit the road, i was able to study and talk on 1 tim 1:1-5 and my first question of the entire talk was a challenge as to why we do not take having mentors, or being mentors, seriously at all?
this is a more specific point on a broader issue of the call for community to be the church.
as i have heard a number of times (last from my brother a couple of days ago)…
we need to stop stopping at getting people to go to church. rather, we need to continue until people are being the church.
i think i misquoted him pretty severely, but i think he’ll forgive me.
and i hope you get the point.
what are some specific ways in which you see people being the church?
The only ONE True Church is Man or Woman’s Personal Worship of GOD, a Personal Relationship with God. Group Worship (Religion) should enhance the Personal Worship and Relationship with God. The Oneness of God is unquestionable. The Oneness of creation, salvation, sustainment and judgment are also unquestionable. The actions of the ONE True Church is at any time and any place implementing Jesus’ Philosophy.
Grammer Correction Please: The actions of the ONE True Church ARE at any time and any place implementing Jesus’ Philosophy. Thank you.
