I was talking with a friend the other day about Jesus and he challenged me with this question: Why do you love Jesus?
Shocked, i defensively tried to spout out all the reasons.
His point was not to say that there is no reason to love Jesus; there are more reasons than we know. His point was to get me thinking. To get me to ponder.
So, i sat and thought. About Jesus. His smile and His humility. His love that He could not control. His tears over Lazarus. His frustration with those defiling the temple. His prayers for His disciples. His constancy. His forgiveness to those mocking and beating Him. His submission to death.
His willingness to die. For me. For my life. My deliverance. My freedom.
Think about why you love Jesus and not how to love Jesus.
Think about it, right now.
Obedience will follow.
