three days ago, when I first heard of the earthquake in Haiti,
my heart broke,
in a way that it never had before.
my wife put it this way, “i have never seen you this moved by anything not involving you directly.”
she meant it in the best possible way, but it revealed to me two things:
- God is transforming my heart in wonderful ways
- i become more lost with every step i take not guided by His Spirit
i cannot comprehend the “lostness” that the people of haiti must be going through right now:
physically-having their home gone, their neighborhood gone, their city gone
emotionally-their neighbors gone, their friends gone, their entire family gone
spiritually-i can’t imagine the games the devil is playing
i have been praying for the lost in all of those ways & ask that you would join me.
there are a ton of ways that you can help support financially,
(it sickens me to know there are people taking advantage of this situation & scamming people for their “relief funds”, but if you feel led to donate, you can rest knowing that your funds are going to good use here: samaritan’s purse)
but i believe so strongly in prayer that if nothing else,
please just take a minute right now to pray for the lost of haiti,
that they would be found,
that hope would abound,
and that His name would resound,
through all the world.
what is your prayer for the haitian world? us? rest of the world?
Give them hope Lord Jesus, let them see you in and through the chaos. This to shall pass. Steven Furtick reminds us, this isnt the first time for this to happen, and we arent the first ones to help out. God IS in control….ALWAYS!
