The devil tried to tell me that I’m inadequate. He said that company profitability would prove my adequacy as an employee. He said that my wife’s happiness would prove my adequacy as a husband. He said that my friend’s spiritual growth would prove my adequacy as a disciple of Christ.
God said, “Are you trying to please man, or Me? If you’re trying to please man, you’re not My servant.”
And God said, “You are my servant and My friend and My child! You are adequate because I have made you so. I have declared you worthy, and so you are. My Son died and gave you His righteousness. Listen to Me, not the deceiver and not the world.”

the father of lies tried telling me recently that i am not a good singer and that i am not supposed to lead worship and perhaps just to consider another area of focus for my life. then God said “psalm 89:1.” which is the verse that the Spirit of truth gave me in rehab when i was asking the Father-”what am i made for?”
“i will sing about the Lord’s faithful love forever; with my mouth i will proclaim Your faithfulness to all generations.”

the damned snake told me that my “holiness” comes from the size & spiritual maturity of my community group (and/or future local church)…
Jesus says, Ronnie, you are holy not because of anything you do or do not do…you are holy because I am holy; you are righteous because I am righteous.
That light makes me want to pursue holiness with all that I have for His glory & my good.
