God, the Son, holds us in His hand.
God, the Father, holds us in HIS hand. (v.29)
Christ spoke this truth to us so that we be convinced of our eternal security.
We can’t lose our salvation precisely because God can’t lose our salvation.
If we believe that ANYTHING could escape, or be snatched away from the grip of
Invincible Power, we are mistaken.
Listen to our brother, John Piper, “…indestructible joy in God is infallibly secured for us by the blood of the covenant.”
